This is an exciting new opportunity to join an insurance broker as a Senior Pricing Analyst working on the Home Insurance portfolio. This role will see you drive forward growth within the home portfolio by generating insights from pricing models and forging strategy across the product.

This company is one of the largest and fastest growing insurance brokers in the UK and Ireland insurance market. They have over 100 combined years of experience in the insurance broking space and offer specialist motor, home, bike, and pet insurance. They work with over 2.6 million customers.

THE ROLE

You will be doing the following daily:

  • Carrying out continual improvements on pricing analysis methodology and practices to improve the companies pricing capabilities.
  • Analysing and monitoring loss rations, performance metrics and rate strength, as well as other account performances across all different channels and insurance products.
  • Developing customer propensity and Lifetime Value (LTV) models.
  • Using SAS and SQL to carry out data analysis.
  • Carrying out pricing analysis, through predictive risk, residual modelling and developing pricing recommendations.
  • Generate insight to make commercial decisions and strategic changes to pricing of products to meet budget requirements.
  • Assessing the affect of rate change impacts through predictions through to post deployment review.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders. You will act as a pricing and performance representative on your specific product lines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams.
  • Coaching graduate analysts and support their development.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 years' experience in general insurance pricing.
  • Experience using SAS, Python, R or SQL.
  • Experience in either Emblem or Radar is essential.
  • Well versed in the UK personal lines insurance space and understand how the market works.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong numerate degree from a Russel Group University.
