The Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) Service provides the primary response to requests for assessments under the Mental Health Act 1983 for people of all ages and also provides social supervision to Ministry of Justice restricted patients, support to multiple teams and agencies as well as providing training across these networks.
The Role
To provide efficient and effective administrative support to the AMHPs, providing a high level of customer service, and ensuring that administrative processes are conducted in accordance with Council policy.
The ideal candidate should have experience of working with children and young people with SEMH and should be confident in managing challenging behaviour.
The candidate should also be able to work well as part of a team and have strong communication skills.
