The Role:
To provide efficient and effective administrative support to the AMHPs, providing a high level of customer service, and ensuring that administrative processes are conducted in accordance with Council policy.
The Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) Service provides the primary response to requests for assessments under the Mental Health Act 1983 for people of all ages and also provides social supervision to Ministry of Justice restricted patients, support to multiple teams and agencies as well as providing training across these networks.
This role is primarily focused on service and data support to the Daytime Service, but many activities will also serve the out of hours service.
The Candidate:
The post-holder will be required to form effective working relationships with staff at all levels within the service and across multiple organisations.
The post-holder will be expected to self-direct on significant portions of the role and work in partnership with the AMHP management structure.
