We are currently looking for an experienced SEND Care Support Worker/Teaching Assistant who is a dedicated and passionate individual looking for a long-term role in SEND school setting in Barking and Dagenham.
The ideal candidate would have experience with care-based support, experience with personal care, feeding, moving, and handling is desirable.
Our school caters for children and young people from 5-16 years old with varied SEND needs such as Profound Multiple learning difficulties, Emotional and Behavioural difficulties, severe learning difficulties and speech and language communication difficulties.
The ETE worker who will be part of the team assisting our young people to get into education, training, and employment.
This service is required as part of the local authority's local offer for our care experienced adults.
Until the establishment of this project team, the service had a low number of young people who were NEET, and this post is part of the project to address this.
The Social Worker will provide a high-quality service in relation to all aspects of the assessment and care management process which meet the needs of vulnerable adults with Disabilities.
To perform all the functions of the post in a manner consistent with Disability legislation and with current Social Services policies, standards and procedures as endorsed by the Senior Management Team.
To take responsibility for all the functions of the post within the boundaries of delegated responsibility.
Supervised Contact Worker to work within our Children's Contact Centre Service (across various venues within the London Borough of Bromley).
General
The main purpose of the role is to observe and supervise contact between children and family members, or friends, either within our Children's Contact Centres/ Children and Family Centres or in the local community, and occasionally in the family home.
The candidates will have good report writing skills in order to accurately and factually describe observations of contact.
To provide a professional administrative and minute-taking business support service to all Social Care teams in respect of Safeguarding/Looked after Children/Family Support & Intervention/Vulnerable People.
