Position Details: Location: Westerham Duration: 8 weeks cover Hours: 8 am - 4 pm Pay: £15 per hour Requirements: Previous experience required; valid driver's license necessary (parking available); proficiency in MRP planning ESSENTIAL. About the Role: As a Buyer, you will oversee the supply of components and finished goods to maintain a 96% service level, ensuring inventory levels meet business objectives. Additionally, you will offer analytical support to minimize risks and assist with cost-saving initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Purchase Orders Management: Ensure timely release and accuracy of purchase orders, align with MRP requirements, and manage supplier order books. Demand Planning: Monitor and adjust demand plans, address late deliveries and shortages, and report material availability issues. Inventory Optimization: Analyse lead times, order cycles, and make proposals to optimize inventory. Analytical Support: Provide support on delivery performance, stock outs, supplier spend, inventory levels, and "What If" scenarios. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Attend daily production meetings and liaise with internal stakeholders regarding supply shortages and quality issues. Required Experience: Minimum 3 years of supply chain experience, ideally within purchasing. Experience with ERP/MRP systems. Excellent administrative and analytical skills. Proficient in interpreting numerical data using Excel and other tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
