Are you an experienced Buyer with a proven track record of delivering excellence in service?

Melissa at TN Recruits is collaborating with an industry leading company as they actively search for a dedicated professional to join their dynamic team to contribute to their accelerating growth.

Position Details:

  • Location: Westerham
  • Duration: 8 weeks cover - possibility for extension
  • Hours: 8 am - 4 pm
  • Pay: £15 - £16.50 per hour (Up to £33,000)
  • Requirements: Previous experience required; valid driver's license necessary (parking available); proficiency in MRP planning ESSENTIAL.

About the Role:

As a Buyer, you will oversee the supply of components and finished goods to maintain a 96% service level, ensuring inventory levels meet business objectives. Additionally, you will offer analytical support to minimize risks and assist with cost-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase Orders Management: Ensure timely release and accuracy of purchase orders, align with MRP requirements, and manage supplier order books.
  • Demand Planning: Monitor and adjust demand plans, address late deliveries and shortages, and report material availability issues.
  • Inventory Optimization: Analyse lead times, order cycles, and make proposals to optimize inventory.
  • Analytical Support: Provide support on delivery performance, stock outs, supplier spend, inventory levels, and "What If" scenarios.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Attend daily production meetings and liaise with internal stakeholders regarding supply shortages and quality issues.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of supply chain experience, ideally within purchasing.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Excellent administrative and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in interpreting numerical data using Excel and other tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
