Melissa at TN Recruits is collaborating with an industry leading company as they actively search for a dedicated professional to join their dynamic team to contribute to their accelerating growth.
Position Details:
- Location: Westerham
- Duration: 8 weeks cover - possibility for extension
- Hours: 8 am - 4 pm
- Pay: £15 - £16.50 per hour (Up to £33,000)
- Requirements: Previous experience required; valid driver's license necessary (parking available); proficiency in MRP planning ESSENTIAL.
About the Role:
As a Buyer, you will oversee the supply of components and finished goods to maintain a 96% service level, ensuring inventory levels meet business objectives. Additionally, you will offer analytical support to minimize risks and assist with cost-saving initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase Orders Management: Ensure timely release and accuracy of purchase orders, align with MRP requirements, and manage supplier order books.
- Demand Planning: Monitor and adjust demand plans, address late deliveries and shortages, and report material availability issues.
- Inventory Optimization: Analyse lead times, order cycles, and make proposals to optimize inventory.
- Analytical Support: Provide support on delivery performance, stock outs, supplier spend, inventory levels, and "What If" scenarios.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Attend daily production meetings and liaise with internal stakeholders regarding supply shortages and quality issues.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of supply chain experience, ideally within purchasing.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Excellent administrative and analytical skills.
- Proficient in interpreting numerical data using Excel and other tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
