This is a newly created role due to company growth - initially a 12 month fixed term contract but with the intention of a permanent role at the end of the contract. The role is 100% remote. As Commercial Finance Business Partner you will be looking at performance management of their business, modelling of supplier payments and financing. You will be supporting the analytics team, supporting large tenders through supplier modelling and analysing supplier financial performance and risk. The role As Commercial Finance Business Partner you will play a vital role in providing insight and analysis to support strategic initiatives.Reporting to the Commercial Accountant (and with a dotted line to the Head of Finance) you will be responsible for commercial finance activity across the organisation, providing true generalist financial support and guidance. Responsibilities To provide insight and analysis into cost structures and make recommendations to improve overall cost effectiveness across the clients the company engages with; assisting in resolving business problems, ensuring that financial strategy is aligned with business strategy.To develop and implement financial models to support strategic initiatives; providing financial advice, oversight, and challenge on key decisionsTo interpret data, and then present the findings to the relevant stakeholders in a clear concise manner; monitor financial performance by tracking actuals against budget; validating the financial performance and viability of suppliers to ensure any resulting risks are highlightedTo support commercial activity through analysing supplier financial performance and risk You are someone who has attained:Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA and/or a minimum of 3 years' experience within a similar role You are someone who has:Strong knowledge around analysing and costing - and proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting You are someone who has:Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to influence in a collaborative manner; demonstrable relationship management skills, creating trusted relationships with partners and stakeholders; persuasive and capable of presenting financial information to people stakeholders in non-financial roles; highly numerate and analytical, able to assimilate and apply new techniques and knowledge quickly to deliver insights and solve problems.Be able to identify risks and understand risk management, anticipate issues and create innovate, commercially astute solutions and to resolve problems in relation to project or service delivery You are:Resilient, proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects that on occasion have competing timelines; collaborative and team oriented; agile and flexible; dynamic, pro-active and self-motivated with the ability to operate successful in a complex, fast paced environment. Utilise resources outside the Strategic Insight function as and when required (e.g. paralegals, trainees, KM staff) Skills & Attributes of the Strategic Insight Manager Leadership of a research/insight function including mixed used models of front office delivery and the best use of third party service providers Appropriate undergraduate/post graduate degree in an economics, finance or business related area is ideal At least 8 years' relevant experience working at a blue-chip, financial or professional services organisation Demonstrated experience in building strategic internal relationships with senior (Executive level) stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills enabling effective communication to senior audiences.
