The Role
As the Head of Building Safety, you will take a leadership role in developing, implementing, and overseeing the council's building safety strategies, ensuring full compliance with current regulations and emerging legislation.
You will also provide mentorship and practical support to the Building Safety Manager, working together to meet the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) demands and ensure robust internal reporting.
Key responsibilities include writing building safety cases and addressing BSR clarification requests, while also serving as the key link between the Building Safety team and the Strategic Director.
Life sciences /or biology/computer sciences graduate with experience in database management and change could suit this unusual role focussed on supporting the database development, change management for a bespoke IT system in science / product compliance / toxicology of a global organisation that enables the regulatory team to document and assess Toxicology and Product compliance subfunctions.
With training the Database Change Specialist in science will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the Toxicology related improvement pipeline, engaging with partners using the IT system to map processes and proposing changes to existing business processes supporting the initial testing of the IT solutions before deployment.
The role holder provides a wide-ranging specialist support on all aspects of EC funded research projects, including liaising with, and providing expert financial and administrative advice to academic staff, departmental administrators, external collaborators and the European Commission Directorates.
They manage the post award financial monitoring of each departments EC research portfolio, liaising with the department, and providing a consistent and visible support.
The role holder is responsible for providing a comprehensive and high quality post award accounting service for the Client European Commission [EC] research portfolio.
