The starting salary for this role is £40,296 per annum, working 36 hours per week. This is a 12-month fixed term contract/ secondment opportunity. You will have specialist knowledge in social / market research methods, public engagement and involvement and will be able to demonstrate a high level of knowledge and experience in this area. We are looking for someone who has solid practical experience of qualitative research techniques but is also familiar with quantitative methods. They must be a self-starter and be confident in managing research and engagement projects with support from more senior researchers. Being organised will be essential. Local Authority services are very contextual depending on their geography, population and resources. While a good understanding of the Surrey context will be useful, as will knowledge of local authorities and the application of social research, it is not essential from the outset. The role will be formally based in Reigate and some travel to other venues in Surrey will be required for specific meetings or workshops. The team uses an agile workforce approach, including home working and flexible use of local offices in Surrey.
