They are the sixth-largest provider of specialist educational services in the country, supporting over 900 children and young people, and employing over 1,000 staff. Due to ontinuing growth; they're currently looking for a Placements Manager for the North region, to work with schools to coordinate and progress all work relating to the placements process. Your Skills/Qualifications/Experience: Experience or working in a similar role Experience of working in the specialist education/learning and care sector- children's and/or adults A highly organised approach, strong administrative experience and aptitude for working through processes Excellent communications skills and able to forge and maintain positive relationship skills with stakeholders, especially parents Excellent reporting and analytical skills Ability to support parents through appeal and tribunals in partnership with service staff Ability to coordinate and manage tender and framework referral submissions Access to your own car and able to occasionally travel across the UK with the occasional overnight stay Key Responsibilities: Be the 'front line' contact for commissioners and other stakeholders in relation to enquiries and referrals. Develop relationships with the 'right' people in local authorities, in particular ensuring our largest 'customers' are well supported. Liaise with stakeholders as required, responding promptly to enquiries and complaints. Keep records of key correspondence/contact points with referrers, funders Ensure self/director/others where appropriate have followed up actions with funders/referrers to demonstrate efficiency and professionalism of our Group.. Ensure we can demonstrate a continuous cycle of improvement. Be aware and up to date on service development and key aspects of schools/care homes delivery to be able to talk knowledgeably with stakeholders about the 'growing' Group. Work with administrators in schools/colleges/care homes to source details on LA/CCG/Parent forum networking and working groups across regions and liaise with Principals/Heads of Care to be visible in their catchment area Liaise with our Group's Family Liaison Workers to enhance relationship between parents/carers and local authority commissioners. Attend external stakeholder events and represent our Group at conferences. Confidently answer queries and/or redirect enquiries from staff and external contacts where relevant and in line manager's absence as appropriate. Handle complaints from external commissioners and social workers; in conjunction with school/care home Principal/Senior Leader Database Management; contacts, referrers, commissioners, other stakeholders across schools, colleges and care homes; Lead on development of a viable database to meet referral and CRM needs - first determining whether School Pod, school MI system, could meet need. Be the lead within our Group on managing and maintaining that CRM/Referral data system - ensuring it fits with requirements as the group grows. Keep up to date records of our Group's 'customers' and LA contacts, Social Workers, CCG's, referrers etc. Keep central record of enquiries and referrals. Work with others in the Group (schools/colleges/care homes) to ensure up to date and accurate information is input and held in a joined up way. Ensure data is compatible for 'marketing communications' e.g. email addresses and job titles; segmented - for use by Marketing Manager Manage cross-site referrals within the group to maximise referrals across all service provision. Collate unallocated referral information from schools/colleges/care homes and keep records to evidence future needs/demand. Track data to flag any significant trends.
