We are looking for a Locality Manager, based from Newbury to lead and manage the repairs and maintenance of 8,000 plus homes across Reading and Newbury localities. The role: You will be responsible for leading the delivery of pro-active services across the locality which meet this vision, championing our values and working alongside colleagues to achieve our priorities to create a truly customer focussed culture. You'll be accountable for leadership and delivery of a high quality, value for money, property repairs, improvements, projects and maintenance service. You'll have financial responsibility - budget setting, forecasting and management across your locality with a property activity of circa £15m PA whilst Contributing to the overall annual budgeting process. As a leader, role model and bring our values to life, showing authenticity, integrity, and credibility Set direction within the team by being clear on expectations, giving clarity of requirement and supporting team and individual performance through robust feedback Develop own capability through continual personal and professional development that will assist in improving own performance in the role, ensuring all core and mandatory training is completed and kept up to date Prepare, control and gain approval for large complex annual property budgets, ensuring appropriate monitoring of expenditure and compliance with procedures, levels of authority and audit requirements What we're looking for We're looking for someone with proven experience of working within property repairs, improvements, and maintenance services, along with: Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary customer focused team in a large and complex organisation Knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation with focus on compliance within all activities undertaken by the team Experience managing significant budgets, ability to plan, track and forecast income and expenditure against relevant budgets, to deliver a value for money service whilst taking actions to mitigate any risks to SNG Able to analyse business information and formulate metrics that deliver permanent or consolidated progress Evidence of delivering on innovative concepts, utilising future changes in policy to support flexibility in a responsive organisation. A track record of meeting deadlines and working effectively with others in a complex and dynamic environment. Possess strong people skills and an effective communicator, able to influence and challenge. A background in or knowledge of social housing is also desirable. We are seeking a skilled Administrator - Clearance Specialist to join our dynamic team. These clearances ensure the safety and security of these sites and the individuals working on them. As a Clearance Specialist, you will play a vital role in facilitating this process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time. You will be joining a friendly and supportive admin. You will be expected to be on site at least 3 days a week (likely 2 days from home) in Aldermaston. Main Responsibilities: Obtain clearances for employees and supply chain partners to access sensitive government sites for construction projects. Manage the entire clearance process, including obtaining required documentation and information, form-filling, and utilizing online systems similar to DBS checks. Ensure all documentation is accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner, leaving no room for errors or delays. Complete and update tracker to monitor and manage clearance requests, maintaining a concise record of progress and milestones. Liaise with employees, supply chain partners, and government agencies to facilitate a smooth and efficient clearance process. Deliver approved clearances promptly to individuals, ensuring they have the necessary documentation to commence work on government sites. Requirements: Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably with exposure to sensitive government clearance processes. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple clearance requests simultaneously. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with employees, supply chain partners, and government agencies. Proficiency in utilizing tracking systems and technology to streamline processes and ensure efficient workflows. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines, understanding the importance of time-sensitive clearances.
