Job Overview: As a Lettings Progressor, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the smooth progression of tenancies from initial offer to move-in, ensuring all administrative tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in lettings administration and a strong understanding of the tenancy progression process. Key Responsibilities: 1.Progress Tenancies: Manage the progression of tenancies from offer acceptance to move-in, ensuring all necessary steps are completed in a timely manner. 2.Liaise with Landlords and Tenants: Act as a primary point of contact for landlords and tenants, providing updates on the status of tenancy progress and addressing any queries or concerns. 3.Conduct Reference Checks: Coordinate and conduct thorough reference checks on prospective tenants, including employment, credit, and previous landlord references. 4.Prepare Tenancy Agreements: Assist in the preparation and issuance of tenancy agreements, ensuring all terms and conditions are accurately reflected and compliant with legal requirements. 5.Arrange Move-In Procedures: Coordinate move-in dates and procedures, including the collection of initial rent and deposit payments, 6.Handle Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of tenancy progress and correspondence, handle incoming enquiries via phone and email, and assist with general administrative duties as required. 7.Ensure Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and industry regulations pertaining to lettings and tenancy agreements, ensuring all processes adhere to legal requirements. Qualifications and Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the lettings industry, with a strong understanding of tenancy progression and administration. LEGAL SECRETARY - CONVEYANCING CRAWLEY SALARY DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE Our well-established client is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to work within their busy Residential Conveyancing Department based at their Crawley office. This role will be to assist Fee Earners in their day-to-day work by providing support and an efficient secretarial and administrative service. Providing full secretarial support including; Using a digital dictation system to produce correspondence and other documentation related to property transactions with PA duties including diary management. Maintenance of comprehensive and accurate client admin files. Undertaking online Land Registry searches and responding to enquiries on behalf of lawyers. Assistance in general team administration including meeting and greeting clients, taking calls and directing accordingly and arranging meeting room bookings. Managing post completions procedures including SDLT returns and title registrations. Desired skills and experience: Legal Secretary/Assistant experience in Residential Conveyancing. Strong and efficient secretarial and admin skills. High level of attention to detail. Fast, accurate typing ability, ideally using digital audio systems. Experience of using case management system desirable but not essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Very well organised. Friendly & professional attitude.
