Job Overview:

As a Lettings Progressor, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the smooth progression of tenancies from initial offer to move-in, ensuring all administrative tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in lettings administration and a strong understanding of the tenancy progression process.

Key Responsibilities:
1.Progress Tenancies: Manage the progression of tenancies from offer acceptance to move-in, ensuring all necessary steps are completed in a timely manner.
2.Liaise with Landlords and Tenants: Act as a primary point of contact for landlords and tenants, providing updates on the status of tenancy progress and addressing any queries or concerns.
3.Conduct Reference Checks: Coordinate and conduct thorough reference checks on prospective tenants, including employment, credit, and previous landlord references.
4.Prepare Tenancy Agreements: Assist in the preparation and issuance of tenancy agreements, ensuring all terms and conditions are accurately reflected and compliant with legal requirements.
5.Arrange Move-In Procedures: Coordinate move-in dates and procedures, including the collection of initial rent and deposit payments,
6.Handle Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of tenancy progress and correspondence, handle incoming enquiries via phone and email, and assist with general administrative duties as required.
7.Ensure Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and industry regulations pertaining to lettings and tenancy agreements, ensuring all processes adhere to legal requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the lettings industry, with a strong understanding of tenancy progression and administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with landlords, tenants, and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant lettings legislation and regulations, with a commitment to ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using property management software is desirable.
