My Client is a leading polymer and chemical manufacturer based in Stalybridge . They manufacture and trade a wide range of polymer products to a wide range of industries including automotive, cabling and textiles amongst others. We require a production operative to assist in the manufacturing process of their products. Duties of the role will include working on machines producing polymers. Candidates will also be required to assist with other duties including warehouse duties and using a counter balance FLT to assist with loading and unloading. Candidates will be given full training to carry out the duties of the role. Valid FLT counter balance licence are essential. Working hours Monday to Thursday 06.30-18.30 then onto alternating days/nights once fully trained. Salary starts from £11.85 per hour and £13 per hour after the training. We are looking for a Chemical Process Operator to join my well established client. The role involves: Complying with IPPC, COMAH, and other regulatory obligations. Understanding the basis of safety and safe operating limits for site processes and safety-critical tasks. Ensuring finished goods are of the highest quality. Understanding factors affecting product quality and adjusting operating conditions within specified guidelines to achieve product quality specifications. Completing documentation and records to quality standards. Actively participating in continuous improvements and workgroups. Operating processes in full accordance with SOPs/COPs. Operating processes according to the issued plan/schedule. Skills and Qualifications Must be computer literate. Level 2 functional skills (Maths / English). FLT license (Counterbalance). Ideally, experience within a Chemical processing environment. Desirable: PSMO training. NVQ level 3 Process Operators qualification (or equivalent).
