Data Analyst Performance Analyst (SQL, Powerbi, Azure) The role can be based from home 3 days a week. The corporate strategy sets out our objectives for the next five years and the Performance Analyst role is pivotal to help the organisation to achieve our aspirations and outcomes. We are a data-driven organisation that uses data (both internal and external) to develop strategies, make decisions and take action. To do this, we will build a good understanding of the data we hold and need, as well as the right processes, supporting IT, skills and culture required to inform critical business decisions and improve our services to customers. The role: Develop self-service reporting tools for users of all levels and providing bespoke analysis to help stakeholders make data driven decisions. Identify and assess problems with the quality of data that is used for and presented in data reporting and take action to address issues identified. Contribute to the completion and submission of benchmarking and statutory reporting requirements, including returns required by government departments and regulators. A day in the life: You will Work on to support performance, benchmarking and reporting methodologies in order to drive up performance Providing business intelligence and management information to senior officers and operational teams, driving service delivery improvement and meeting statutory obligations Working with technical colleagues to assist in understanding, design and testing of new and changed systems or processes Contribute and ensure that the business data is captured, analysed and organised using department tools and practices and in such way that can lead to a more comprehensive and trustworthy level of data and statistical analysis Participate constructively in the continuous improvement of data integrity Design and develop visual reports and dashboards to provide service performance and actionable intelligence for managers and decision-makers What you will need to have: Demonstrable excellent skills in Excel and SQL Experience in producing data reporting and analysis with tools such as Power BI for data visualisation Experience of using Azure SQL and DataFactory. (Ideal but not essential) Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the natural ability to network and build effective relationships with key colleagues across the organisation. Experience or knowledge of statistical analysis. Ability to analyse data sets for trends and correlations, and to present this as evidence to support decision-making. Strategic thinking and strong analytical skills: both quantitative and qualitative Strong reporting skills and understanding of report aesthetics

Analyse financial performance, identify key drivers, trends, and improvement areas. Collaborate with departments to gather and validate financial data for accurate reporting. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, highlighting variances and providing insights. Assist in developing annual budgets and periodic forecasts aligned with strategic goals. Evaluate financial risks and opportunities, recommending actions to enhance performance. Conduct in-depth analysis of net interest margin and balance sheet, proposing performance enhancements. Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis and decision-making support. Participate in projects to improve financial processes and systems. Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market conditions affecting financial performance. Skills and Experience: Proven experience as an FP&A Analyst/Financial Analyst Strong proficiency in financial modelling and analysis, with advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI or similar tools preferred Excellent communication and presentation skills Detail-oriented with high accuracy and ability to meet deadlines Analytical mindset with proactive problem-solving abilities Change-driver with a focus on process automation and improvement Ability to work collaboratively and engage stakeholders at all levels Please put your home postcode on your CV when applying.
