REED Procurement are partnered with a manufacturing company in the Bridgend area who are looking for a Senior Buyer to join their dynamic Procurement Team.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the purchasing strategy of the organisation, with a keen focus on sustainable and ethical sourcing.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in market analysis, negotiation, and supplier management, who is ready to take on a challenging and rewarding position.
This role is to support a team through a system integration and transition and beyond; although the main part of the role is to cover, Purchase Ledger there will be the opportunity to help across the finance department and wider business.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will include the following;
As a Senior Buyer you will coordinate and oversee the purchasing of goods, raw materials and equipment, overseas as well as domestic, to ensure that the company's operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery to ensure continuity of supply.
You will ensure you get the best value for money, work with the Head of Logistics & Supply Chain to ensure that the company is holding the right amount of stock, ensuring correct suppliers are in place to deliver the goods and services needed.
