People Development Partner - Capability Development Based in The West Midlands - Birmingham / Coventry Paying between £50k - £60k Benefits We are looking for a motivated and experienced People Development Partner - Capability Development to join our client's team. As the People Development Partner, you will have the opportunity to shape and grow the Learning and Development offering across the organisation with a focus of creating and implementing capability frameworks. In this role, you will partner with business leaders to identify development needs and leverage internal development opportunities. You will play a key role in building capability across the organisation, providing clarity on what good looks like and helping colleagues understand the capabilities needed for career progression. Additionally, you will support the Training Needs Analysis and future training requirements, demonstrating our client's commitment to providing exceptional services to their customers. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Head of Learning and Talent Development to deliver the learning agenda for specific business areas, adapting to emerging needs. Act as a key contact and Learning Partner, building relationships with stakeholders to support learning requirements. Conduct data-led training needs analysis activities and utilise insights to form the overall delivery plan, supporting the 70:20:10 model. Lead the roll-out of the capability framework and create localised Technical Skills and knowledge matrix's. Help embed the capability framework through various activities such as manager training, colleague training, drop-in sessions, and ongoing coaching support. Capture capability data and share it with the People Development team to inform decisions around the training delivery plan. Design and deliver learning initiatives using forward-thinking techniques and blended learning solutions. Support talent and leadership development initiatives across the organisation. Provide high-quality, specialist L&D advice and coaching to leaders to develop themselves and their teams. Stay up to date with trends and innovations in learning to support best-in-class delivery. Promote learning opportunities through effective use of communication platforms. Coach and mentor junior members of the People Development team when required. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience working with capability frameworks or similar tools. Strong stakeholder management skills and a proven track record of successfully collaborating with operational leaders. Creative and agile mindset with the ability to engage and inspire others. Analytical skills to gather and interpret people data. Curiosity and the ability to understand team and business needs. Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines. Passion for staying connected to current thinking in learning and development. Excellent communication skills and ability to coach effectively. Self-motivated and able to work remotely when necessary. Proactive team player with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships. Understanding of project management principles. This position is scheduled to begin in September 2024 with the potential for a permanent contract offered by December 2024. Position Overview: As a Learning/Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to students with complex needs, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Your expertise and commitment will contribute to creating safe and inclusive learning environments. Roles and Responsibilities: Behavioural Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH, Autism, Learning Difficulties, ADHD, and Challenging Behaviour. Behaviour Management: Implement effective behaviour management strategies to address challenging behaviours, promote emotional regulation, and ensure the safety and well-being of all students. Mentoring: Act as a positive role model, offering guidance and encouragement to students, helping them develop self-esteem and confidence. Crisis Intervention: Intervene in crisis situations, de-escalating conflicts and ensuring the emotional and physical safety of students. Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents/guardians to implement individualized behaviour plans and support strategies. Progress Monitoring: Track and report on the progress of students, maintaining accurate records of behavioural interventions and improvements. Communication: Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians, providing regular updates on students' progress and well-being. Ideal Skill Set and Experience: Previous experience as a Learning/Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role, particularly with students who have SEMH, Autism, Learning Difficulties, ADHD, and Challenging Behaviour. Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies, with a track record of successfully implementing interventions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents/guardians. Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting students' development and well-being. Crisis intervention training or experience is advantageous.
