The primary function is to attend and examine scenes using specialist, approved techniques to visualise, capture and recover evidence and gather information and intelligence as part of an investigation.
This includes securing DNA and fragile trace evidence exhibit, photographic exhibits and analysis, comparison and evaluation of fingerprints against computerised and manual reference samples to identify individuals and act as an expert witness in Crime Scene Investigation when required.
The post-holder will be required to work and train as a member of the Scenes of Crime Team within Bailiwick Law Enforcement (BLE).

You will collect evidence and intelligence on events using appropriate guidelines and procedures to enable presentation to a civil or criminal standard.
