Learning Support Assistant Location: Cambridge, UK Job Type: Full-time Salary: From £16,000 - £23,000 Join a vibrant secondary school in Cambridge as a Learning Support Assistant. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about contributing to the educational development of students and are committed to creating a positive impact on their learning experiences. Day-to-day of the role: Provide individualised support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively. Manage challenging behaviour in a constructive manner, maintaining a positive and conducive learning environment. Work in close collaboration with teaching staff to enhance educational outcomes and support the delivery of lessons. Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring additional support. Engage with students to foster a supportive and inclusive educational experience. Required Skills & Qualifications: Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational support role. A strong understanding of the secondary education curriculum and effective learning strategies. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations within the educational environment. Flexibility to work within school hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential for flexible days.
