DEPUTY FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (FIXED TERM CONTRACT - 6 MONTHS) We are now seeking a Deputy Financial Controller ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Review of the month end P&L/Balance Sheet postings with Management Accountant Preparation of standardized monthly reporting to support functions P&L's owners Preparation of the balance sheet reconciliations with the management accountant Ensuring that regular and accurate financial reports, including balance sheet reconciliations and summaries are produced Reporting of monthly results to the parent company on the SMART and RISE portals as per the deadlines Ensure all intercompany transactions are reconciled within the group and regularly liaise with parent company for intercompany reconciliations. Work closely with local accountants in APAC and Middle East on their Year End audits. Assistance with technical accounting issues Execution of process improvement plans / initiatives Planning and organising the department's workload, assigning work to staff members, ensuring tasks are completed to the expected level Contributes to the development of a robust organisational structure in respect of Finance Ensure financial risk and performance monitoring analysis takes place through effective systems of internal control ROLE REQUIREMENTS ACA/ACCA in appropriate financial discipline Minimum 8 years relevant experience, with 4 years in a similar position Previous experience in supporting the compilation of complex financial data and engaging graphical information Excellent knowledge of SAP 4/HANA Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and IT-based calculation spreadsheets Ability to prioritise own workload and work to strict deadlines Effective analytical skills when interpreting data and result and the ability to communicate those result and trends in appropriate formats Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral Team player, ability to brief and delegate financial tasks to direct reports and support team In-dept knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS GAAP Experience in large corporations Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy
