DEPUTY FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (FIXED TERM CONTRACT - 6 MONTHS)

We are now seeking a Deputy Financial Controller

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review of the month end P&L/Balance Sheet postings with Management Accountant
  • Preparation of standardized monthly reporting to support functions P&L's owners
  • Preparation of the balance sheet reconciliations with the management accountant
  • Ensuring that regular and accurate financial reports, including balance sheet reconciliations and summaries are produced
  • Reporting of monthly results to the parent company on the SMART and RISE portals as per the deadlines • Ensure all intercompany transactions are reconciled within the group and regularly liaise with parent company for intercompany reconciliations.
  • Work closely with local accountants in APAC and Middle East on their Year End audits.
  • Assistance with technical accounting issues
  • Execution of process improvement plans / initiatives
  • Planning and organising the department's workload, assigning work to staff members, ensuring tasks are completed to the expected level
  • Contributes to the development of a robust organisational structure in respect of Finance
  • Ensure financial risk and performance monitoring analysis takes place through effective systems of internal control ROLE REQUIREMENTS
  • ACA/ACCA in appropriate financial discipline
  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience, with 4 years in a similar position
  • Previous experience in supporting the compilation of complex financial data and engaging graphical information
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP 4/HANA
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and IT-based calculation spreadsheets
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and work to strict deadlines
  • Effective analytical skills when interpreting data and result and the ability to communicate those result and trends in appropriate formats
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral
  • Team player, ability to brief and delegate financial tasks to direct reports and support team
  • In-dept knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS GAAP • Experience in large corporations
  • Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy
