DEPUTY FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (FIXED TERM CONTRACT - 6 MONTHS)
We are now seeking a Deputy Financial Controller
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review of the month end P&L/Balance Sheet postings with Management Accountant
- Preparation of standardized monthly reporting to support functions P&L's owners
- Preparation of the balance sheet reconciliations with the management accountant
- Ensuring that regular and accurate financial reports, including balance sheet reconciliations and summaries are produced
- Reporting of monthly results to the parent company on the SMART and RISE portals as per the deadlines • Ensure all intercompany transactions are reconciled within the group and regularly liaise with parent company for intercompany reconciliations.
- Work closely with local accountants in APAC and Middle East on their Year End audits.
- Assistance with technical accounting issues
- Execution of process improvement plans / initiatives
- Planning and organising the department's workload, assigning work to staff members, ensuring tasks are completed to the expected level
- Contributes to the development of a robust organisational structure in respect of Finance
- Ensure financial risk and performance monitoring analysis takes place through effective systems of internal control ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- ACA/ACCA in appropriate financial discipline
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience, with 4 years in a similar position
- Previous experience in supporting the compilation of complex financial data and engaging graphical information
- Excellent knowledge of SAP 4/HANA
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and IT-based calculation spreadsheets
- Ability to prioritise own workload and work to strict deadlines
- Effective analytical skills when interpreting data and result and the ability to communicate those result and trends in appropriate formats
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral
- Team player, ability to brief and delegate financial tasks to direct reports and support team
- In-dept knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS GAAP • Experience in large corporations
- Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy
