An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time hybrid post for a DoLS Referral Officer to join our Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Team (DoLS) in Slough.
We are a newly formed highly motivated team who are very supportive of each other.
You will be part of running the service day to day, supporting the DoLS service's improvement and development.
To be confident in using databases and inputting information.
To engage families at the point of entry to the service and build and maintain positive working relationships with service users, both at the centre and in the community, enabling their access to the locality offer.
To provide the day to day front of house management and administration functions for the centre.
To undertake the proper lettings of temporary accommodation to those who have approached the Council for housing advice and assistance and have been deemed to be owed a duty in accordance with the Homeless Reduction Act 2017.
To manage discharges of duty within specific cases and be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments and legal decisions that can withstand legal scrutiny and are successful at the review stage or in court.
To properly and legally work to discharge any duty held where this is required, and placement termination is necessary.
