One of the UK's largest housing associations are recruiting for a Supported Housing Officer to provide a housing management service to their supported housing residents across a patch in South London.
I am recruiting for a local authority who is looking for a officer will be working in the HOST Complex team in Housing Options, with single residents who may be homeless or threatened with homelessness.
Officer will take homeless applications, conduct the assessment, write PHP and statutory notification letters and case manage the applicant.
To take action concerning breach of tenancy, removal of squatters, unauthorised occupants, authorising successions, assignments and referring complex cases to the Area Housing Manager.
To attend Court to give evidence in cases relating to breaches of tenancy and of lease agreements and to execute evictions in conjunction with appointed bailiffs.
To ensure that tenants understand their rights and responsibilities under the tenancy agreement and that all tenancy conditions are adhered to.
The overall purpose of the Neighbourhood Housing Officer role is to deliver an integrated generic housing service to tenants and leasehold customers and to work closely with other teams, councillors and Tenants & Residents Associations to achieve sustainable tenancies in sustainable communities.
To act as a regular and visible presence on estates, taking action to make sure estates are safe and well maintained and provide advice, information and reports on any housing management matter.
To provide a proactive and customer focused housing management service across a designated area and to ensure that the Council fulfils its legal and contractual obligations to tenants and leaseholders.
To provide a tailored, resident-focused housing management service within a designated neighbourhood.
This will include: Providing effective tenancy management and enforcing tenancy conditions.
Ensuring that tenants and leaseholders are involved in the design and implementation of estate management services to meet individual and neighbourhood requirements.
