A client within the Public Sector based in the East Midlands is currently recruiting for an Environmental Health Officer to join their enforcement team as soon as possible.
Key purpose of the role is to deal with a wide range of Environmental Protection duties including: the investigation and enforcement of statutory nuisance with experience of dealing with complaints in relation to noise
The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within the public sector.
Inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register/GDC Specialist List/UK Public Health Register (UKPHR) for Public Health Specialists -This entails a masters programme plus further postgraduate medical specialist training.
Public health specialty registrar applicants who are not yet on the GMC Specialist Register/GDC Specialist List in dental public health/UKPHR must provide verifiable signed documentary evidence that they are within 6 months of gaining entry at the date of interview; all other applicants must provide verifiable signed documentary evidence that they have applied for inclusion in the GMC/GDC/UKPHR specialist registers [see shortlisting notes below for additional guidance].
If included in the GMC Specialist Register/GDC Specialist List in a specialty other than public health medicine/dental public health, candidates must have equivalent training and/or appropriate experience of public health medicine practice.

The successful candidate will carry out food compliance inspections of low and medium risk premises to ensure compliance with UK and international standards for food safety, hygiene and sanitation.
This is a 3 month starting contract with the possibility to extend.
