Balance Sheet Reconciliation Accountant Industry: Manufacturing Fully remote £350 - £400 per day Role overview: This position is for a qualified accountant to support with an initiative to reconcile balance sheets to ensure accurate, timely data using accounting ERP systems. THE ROLE: Gathering and analysing data to ensure financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and other accounting related activities are statutorily and legally appropriate and within the guidelines of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Preparing a variety of reconciliation and accounting reports using ERP computer accounting systems; researching accounting discrepancies, determining most appropriate methods to correct discrepancies and preparing corrections. Prepares and initiates journal entries, payroll entries and other entries, ensuring deadlines are met and to facilitate clean up of Balance Sheet Reconciliations. Reconcile and analyse balance sheet accounts to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and account balances are accurately stated in accordance with GAAP and Company policy. Financial Accountant - Contract (rolling) - Slough (hybrid) - £155 per day inside IR35 (£40-42,000 salary equivalent) How does a role with a global brand in financial services sound? We have an outstanding opportunity for a Senior GL Financial Accountant to join a global brand within the financial services sector (Auto finance). The Senior Accounting Specialist requires strong core GL financial accounting skills; month-end reporting; balance sheet reconciliations, solid Excel. It's a hybrid role, with 3 days in the office based in the Slough HQ, reporting to the Business division Finance Manager, working in a continuous improvement environment where progression is encouraged and supported. This is a rolling contract, that may go permanent (no guarantee). £155 per day (salary equivalent £40-42k) The role will be responsible for local, Group and statutory reporting, including balance sheet management, management of data from multiple core applications, inter-company reporting. The position will suit a part-qualified accountant with advanced Excel, experience managing large data volumes, excellent communication skills and who is self-sufficient. Key responsibilities: Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of results to Group, local management, Companies House and legislative bodies. Balance sheet management: responsible for the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process. Quarterly reporting and monitoring of balance sheet status to the local Compliance and Risk and Control teams and Group. Extensive intercompany and related party reporting: ensure full monthly reconciliation and confirmation of all intercompany and related party balances. Preparation of ad-hoc financial reporting and MI. Systems management and development: ability to troubleshoot/remediate and identify opportunities for systems enhancement Management of the AP/P2P function and provide cover for AP including AP invoices processing. Treasury: liaise with the Treasury Manager and loan providers to ensure adequate levels of loan finance on a monthly basis. Internal control and 1st level controls (self-audit) reporting: ensures compliance with internal reporting requirements. Process improvement: drives process improvement within the Finance team and broader business where appropriate. Continually identifies opportunities for improvement: manages relevant initiatives, monitors and works collaboratively. Experience required: Graduate and finalist/part-qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA At least 3 years experience in a relevant Finance/Accountancy role Essential: advanced Microsoft Excel and the ability to manage significant volumes of data; Business Objects experience is desirable Strong communication/presentation skills. Able to adapt and adjust to different audiences as required.
