Our client require an Italian speaking accountant with experience of Italian payroll to start asap for a 3 month contract. Potential for temp to perm.
The Assistant Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. This position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. This role involves collaborating with the finance team to maintain financial stability and compliance.
- Financial Record-Keeping:

Maintaining accurate financial records by entering data into accounting software and spreadsheets.

Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records, including general ledger postings and bank reconciliations.

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Financial Reporting:

Preparation of financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets/reconciliations, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Compile and analyse financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:

Compile annual budgets and forecasts, by providing financial data and reporting actual versus budget and variance analysis.

Report/monitoring budget performance and preparing budget reports.
- Audit and Compliance:

Lead and manage the internal and external audit processes by providing documentation and information as requested to external auditors.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Financial Analysis:

Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.

Prepare financial models and projections.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Provide administrative support to the Group Finance department, such as providing documents and organising the safe-keeping of all records.
Assist local team and Group CFO with other accounting-related tasks as needed
