In the role of a Finance Assistant, the successful candidate will be tasked with the day-to-day management of financial services within a not-for-profit organisation. They will be involved in tasks such as data entry, processing payments, and maintaining financial records. Client Details Our client is a not-for-profit organisation with a workforce of over 500 employees. Operating within the Accounting & Finance industry, they are situated in Wakefield (WF4) and are dedicated to providing exceptional financial services to their clients. Description Efficient data entry and maintenance of financial records Processing invoices and payments in a timely manner Assisting in the creation of monthly financial reports Liaising with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations Adhering to financial regulations and legislation Supporting the finance team in daily administrative tasks Assisting in budget preparation Participating in annual audits Profile A successful Finance Assistant should have: A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail Strong communication and team-working skills An understanding of financial regulations and legislation The ability to work in a fast-paced environment A proactive approach to work and problem-solving abilities Job Offer Salary range of £25,000 to £26,000 per annum Full-time contract with potential for part-time (30 hours per week) Generous holiday allowance - 25 days plus bank holidays and additional time off between Christmas and New Year Access to a range of benefits upon passing probation, including a health plan and discounts Free parking available We look forward to receiving your application for this exciting role in our Wakefield office.
