Financial Reporting Accountant
Hybrid Opportunity - Working 2 days from home and 3 days in the office, based in Liverpool.
12 month Temporary Contract - Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week.
Salary £33 per hour - depending on experience.
Are you a newly qualified accountant or an experienced professional ready for your next challenge? Our client is excited to announce a new position within the Global Accounting Operations Team! As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial accounting for various entities, contributing to the success of our innovative new Operating Model.
This role will perform complex transactions and statutory reporting across the set of entity codes. It also includes support for projects and continuous improvement and liaising with Finance Business Partners for escalations.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and post recurring and manual journals, including inter company entries.
- Manage accruals and reclassification entries.
- Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies across systems.
- Process allocations for payroll costs and WBS elements.
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Load budget data into consolidation systems.
- Analyse and report on variances between actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
- Assist with local statutory reports and IFRS adjustment calculations.
- Support internal and external audit requests.
Qualifications and Experience required:
- ACCA/ACA/CPA/CMA qualified, or qualified by experience (5+ years in a relevant role).
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to think through irregular issues and make timely decisions.
- Organisational agility and ability to build strong relationships.
- Effective collaboration with Finance Business Partners and various Finance Centres of Excellence.
