Two of our most in demand projects are our Advocacy and Family Support services.
Southend Mencap supports the needs and interests of people with learning disabilities, as well as those of their parents and carers, in the south-east of Essex.
Both have been in operation for over 20 years but due to the significant increase in demand for them, we now find it necessary to introduce a new role that will oversee the Advocacy and Family Support projects.
Are you a passionate, resilient patient and nurturing individual who is committed to supporting and working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties?
Are you a qualified English Teacher or an experienced English instructor who has experience working with children that have challenging behaviour?
Or have you always aspired to work with SEMH children and would like to take on a new challenge?
