Summary of responsibilities
Carry out all routine, planned and emergency maintenance and repair work.
General
You will be expected to meet the daily challenges whilst providing a safe environment in which the residents can enjoy life.
The purpose of the Maintenance Operative role is to provide a reliable and efficient repair and maintenance service for the Trust's buildings and it's residents.
Delivery of day-to-day holistic care for residents and meeting their unique needs.
Working with volunteers, Wellbeing Coordinator and therapy teams to provide and encourage meaningful activities.
Duties include (but not exclusive to): personal care; assisting with mobility needs; medications (as appropriate to role); infection control; supporting residents with dementia, and end of life care; changing bed linen, sorting laundry, safe disposal of clinical waste, manage stock levels and equipment such as wheelchairs.
Delivery of a holistic, person-centred service to care home residents, which identifies their hospitality, housekeeping and catering needs and preferences.
Maintain a high standard of hygiene in accordance with health and safety, infection control standards, food hygiene legislation and St Monica Trust's policies and procedures.
The Hospitality Assistants work closely with the Head Chef (Village) and Chef (Village) to provide a food and drink service in a welcoming, clean environment for our residents/customers in our village cafe.
Key Results
Creates a welcoming environment for residents and customers in our village restaurants with a focus on customer service and providing a wide variety of food and drinks.
Total of 30 hours per week to include weekend working.
The Chef (Care Home) manages the day-to-day food and drinks provision in their allocated care home by overseeing a kitchen and team of Senior Hospitality Assistants, with the majority of food prepared by our suppliers.

About the roleAs an optical consultant you will be working on the shopfloor providing a high standard of care to our customers, recommending products to aid their health and lifestyle.
You will spend time building great relationships with customers by listening and understanding their needs.
