Document Controller / Business Administrator Bedford (with travel to London as required) Permanent, Full-Time, Monday to Friday Up to £30,000 per annum Our client, a dynamic company specialising in mechanical, electrical, plumbing & heating services, are seeking a Document Controller / Business Administrator to join them on a permanent basis. Operating across the Home Counties and London boroughs, their team is dedicated to delivering high-quality projects and exceptional service to their clients. As a Business Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting various departments and ensuring the smooth operation of their projects. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Document Control: Manage and control documentation for all Home Counties education and commercial projects, as well as contracts in London boroughs as needed. Payment Assistance: Support the Commercial Director by chasing payments, including retentions, and performing other administrative duties as requested. Director Support: Assist the Production, Commercial, and Estimating Directors with tasks such as chasing quotes, designs, certifications, and warranties. Cross-Departmental Assistance: Provide support to other departments, such as Customer Care and Housing, particularly in chasing payments, when capacity allows. Holiday Cover: Provide holiday cover for other document controllers or customer care team members as needed. Requirements: Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within the construction or MEP&H sectors. Excellent organisational and multitasking skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
