Executive Director We are seeking an experienced interim senior leader to join an Executive Team at an innovative arts centre in the heart of Deptford. Position: Executive Director (interim) Location: Deptford, Flexible working negotiable; minimum of 50% office-based working Salary: £60k per annum, pro rata Contract: Fixed Term for 7 months (Sep 24 - Mar 25, with potential to extend); flexible working offered, 3-4 days per week (mostly on-site, some remote working possible) Closing Date: 12pm, 2nd July 2024 Interview Date: 8th July About the role: As Executive Director you will be working for a thriving arts centre, which exists to inspire, develop and support creativity for the benefit of the community, encompassing the London Borough of Lewisham and beyond. You will support a period of reshaping the business model and the transition from two outgoing senior posts to a team of three new department heads. You will bring new perspective and energy as well as solid understanding of the nuts and bolts of running a 21st arts organisation. About you: We are now looking for a confident leader to work alongside a team of experienced senior manager, you will need to bring with you the following skills and experience: Substantial recent experience in a relevant senior management role Experience of management in a venue licensed for public entertainment, including demonstrable understanding of health and safety and facilities Experience of managing and developing staff and relationships High level organisational, IT and administrative skills Experience of project and overall budget management Experience of contracting and confidence to deal with legal components for personnel, services, artist/production contracts Personal licence or willingness to obtain one Although not essential, a Health & Safety qualification or extensive knowledge of H&S would be highly desirable for this role.
