About the role: To assist and support the Warehouse Supervisor with the day-to-day planning and overall supervision of warehouse operations including the allocation of work to the warehouse staff. At times of absence or holiday you will be required to supervise the whole warehouse operation. Ensure that all warehouse activities are closely supervised and managed and any issues immediately reported and escalated Liaising with internal and external customers, in a professional and courteous manner Skills & experience: Two year's experience in a high value, high tech environment is essential. This will be to work within the Luxury Retail Handling Unit. Are you ready to embark on a thrilling journey with a leading freight forwarder? Job Responsibilities: As a Logistics Operator, you will be handling a variety of luxury, highly sensitive and valuable products. Assisting with the warehouse team in unloading vehicles and checking in the stock. This will then need to be checked and loaded on the Warehouse Management System (WMS) Follow very customer specific packing instructions and guidelines for the luxury retail brand with a great degree of accuracy. Ensure that any damages, discrepancies or service failures are reported and acted upon to a Supervisor / Manager. Regular warehouse stock checks will be carried out to ensure that all goods are accounted for. To fulfil orders from client for the luxury retail brand under an e-commerce model. The successful Logistics Operator requirements: It would be beneficial if you had warehouse and/or retail experience. Previous experience using a warehouse management system or goods in/goods out software. Forklift experience would be a bonus but not essential. (Counterbalance and/or Reach) Occasionally you may be required to speak with the client directly, you will need to have good communication skills and have a positive attitude.
