Overall purpose of role To
Create drawings, using relevant specifications, where design is applicable.
Liaise with Estimating, at construction stage, Commercial and Site management and other relevant departments throughout the life of the project as required to track design and quality issues.
Go to site and site office (3-4 days per week) and take surveys, complete photos in order to create drawings.
As a designer for this expanding construction company based in London you will assist the preconstruction team to provide advice at tender stage, complete works assigned to you on projects and co-ordinate with other team members to progress design works through to RIBA Stages 1-7.
You must have strong attention to detail and communication skills to ensure all works are delivered on time, within budget and to the client requirements.
You will be responsible for ensuring a positive company image is portrayed at all times to clients and stakeholders and strive to win new business and increase repeat business.

The Service Designer will be responsible for leading the Design Process on a range of different services across social care, education, health and environmental issues, overseeing 1-2 different projects at one time.

We are looking for experienced Freelance Design Practitioners to help run a series of Design Projects in Surrey County Council's Transformation programme.
