Clerk of Works (Property) (£46,297 per annum, full-time, 12 month fixed-term contract)
We are seeking a Clerk of Works to help ensure our property teams' works are handed over on time, to the right quality and free of defects.
You will be a key member of the property team; supporting the Senior Contract Manager, sorting the day-to-day issues that arise, carrying out pre- and post-inspections, calling and dealing with tenants and contractors, raising works orders on the system, and generally supporting the cyclical repairs and decorations contract.
Project Management and specification of minor capital projects max £1-2m including seeking planning ( including Listed building consent) and building control consent, awarding and managing build contract.
Condition Surveys and reports on condition
Contribution to a providing a planned maintenance programme
Lead and manage diverse facilities management and property functions- Hard and Soft FM, Asset Delivery, Property Development and Commercial Estate.

You will have a wide range of basic construction skills such as plumbing, joinery and general building work with a sound working knowledge of health and safety and compliance.
As General Tradesperson you will carry out repairs and maintenance across the South Somerset properties working closely with the Facilities Co-ordinators at each property to ensure we are always compliant and our visitors are met with a well looked after property .
You will need to work with a high level of attention to detail, be able to prioritise your own workload whilst working closely with the wider facilities team.
