Our client requires a contracted Commercial Contracts Manager until November 2025 to cover Maternity leave for a staff member. Possess extensive contract law experience and a track record of providing contractual expertise for high-value, complex goods and services (typically exceeding £5m). Preferably, have knowledge of public procurement regulations (PCR2015) and a basic understanding of data protection matters. In this role you will be working in and amongst the Legal & Compliance team, where you will ensure the formation of robust and sustainable contracts with their customers, enabling the delivery of their solutions to patients while mitigating company risks. You will also be responsible for: Advise Business Areas on the contract landscape and potential risks in the customer's proposed tender approach during pre-tender engagements. Collaborate with Bids and Commercial teams on tender submissions, reviewing multiple large tenders simultaneously and providing comprehensive risk assessments. Coordinate and draft tender clarifications and risk summaries for customer submission. Review, draft, negotiate, and execute commercial contracts, highlighting risks, proposing mitigation strategies, and ensuring contracts are robust and aligned with tender submissions. Provide ad hoc advice on public procurement legislation and respond to internal contractual queries. Draft and review dispute communications, novation agreements, confidentiality agreements, and software licenses.
