Our client requires a contracted Commercial Contracts Manager until November 2025 to cover Maternity leave for a staff member. They are committed to rewarding their employees for their impactful challenging work, so here are the perks:

You will be the kind of person who wants to make a difference within your day-to-day work, but of course there are a few other requirements:

  • Ideally, be a qualified commercial contracts lawyer or hold a CCM or CIPS accreditation with proven experience in contract drafting.
  • Possess extensive contract law experience and a track record of providing contractual expertise for high-value, complex goods and services (typically exceeding £5m).
  • Preferably, have knowledge of public procurement regulations (PCR2015) and a basic understanding of data protection matters.

In this role you will be working in and amongst the Legal & Compliance team, where you will ensure the formation of robust and sustainable contracts with their customers, enabling the delivery of their solutions to patients while mitigating company risks. You will also be responsible for:

  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating subcontracts with our third party suppliers, highlighting areas of risk, proposing / agreeing risk mitigating strategies and ensuring contracts are commercially and legally robust.
  • Advising Business Areas on contractual rights and obligations and providing clarification on contract terms and conditions.
  • Drafting and negotiating variations to commercial contracts.
  • Providing ad hoc advice and guidance on contractual queries from internal departments.
  • Responsible for a wide range of additional contractual documents including novation agreements, parent company guarantees, confidentiality agreements, software licence and / or subscription agreements.
  • Supporting wider business change management and sustainability projects.

Location: Burgess Hill

Salary: £211.54 - £223.08 (PAYE) OR £260.59 - £295.89 (UMB) per day

Full Time: Monday - Friday

Inside IR35 (MAT Cover until November 2025)
