Transport Coordinator - Nights My client, based in Southampton, is one of the UK's leading independent providers of international freight, and transport logistics services. They provide end-to-end solutions to their Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain Management, UK Warehousing, Distribution, Training, Logistics transport and Contract Management requirements. They are now looking for a transport coordinator with planning and administrative experience to join their night shift team. Key Responsibilities Dispatching and debriefing drivers. Overseeing the Night Operations, booking VBS slots, dealing with vehicle breakdowns. Amending the routing plan if and when needed, resolving any route issues should they arise. Answering calls, liaising directly with the drivers, colleagues, and customers to ensure that services are delivered efficiently and effectively. Monitoring empty mileage. Generation of Tacho infringements. Driver fines and parking infringements. Controlling the Subcontractor preferred supplier data base to ensure compliance. Log and Administer Insurance claims. General Traffic Office Administration Support. Requirements Container experience is necessary. Strong IT skills, Mandata and VBS knowledge is required. Previous administrative and transport coordination experience. Great communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail. Self-motivated, confident, with a strong can-do attitude. Company Remunerations Salary - £28,000 - £32,000 dependent on experience. Monday-Friday, hours between 3:30/4pm - 2am. 23 days holiday.
