Seven Social Care are currently recruiting for two Childcare Sufficiency Officer's to start a new role in Barnsley. You will work with the childcare sufficiency team to enable them to achieve their ambitions in relation to the early years entitlements and wrapround expansion. You will work in a collaborative manner with teams across the local authority, schools, families, childcare providers (including private providers, childminders, community and voluntary organisations and early years settings) to assess supply and demand and expand childcare provision (including wraparound) that is accessible to children and families, including those with SEND. Responsibilities Enable the service to meet specified targets and statutory requirements within agreed timescales. Undertake the mapping of current provision across the Local Authority. Consult with parents/carers, providers, and children about demand for childcare Provide business planning and marketing advice and guidance to new and existing early years childcare providers and schools to develop, support and sustain childcare provision for children from 0 to year six. Applicant Requirements: Experience: A strong knowledge of and understanding safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
