An Electronics Engineer with experience of systems design, test & calibration is sought by a growing engineering company in South Tyneside
You will be responsible for the diagnosis and repair of electrical and electronic equipment and electromechanical systems, including down to PCB component level, coaching and mentoring of other team members, safe, correct, and efficient preventive and routine maintenance of equipment and machinery and the calibration of electronic equipment.
You will also correctly disassemble, inspect, repair, clean, replace and re-assemble equipment and systems, carry out Electromechanical system testing and commissioning, design electrical/ electronic systems for upgrades, overcoming component obsolescence and integrating with third party equipment and systems and liaise with customer about works and suggested (any) remedial actions.
Our client has secured a position on the National Grid 5 Year Light Current Framework, providing advanced systems using cutting-edge technology for new National Grid substations and extending existing infrastructure.
The project will focus on delivering a safer and lower-carbon footprint.
Occasional travel to the Hebburn office will be required for team meetings.

BASIC SALARY: Up to £50,000
With a hybrid work pattern considered, you'll be working on conceptual and detailed design of large-scale structures with projects in a range of industries including bridges, dams, refineries, power stations, offshore structures, and manufacturing plants.
As the Infrastructure Engineer, your responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure across production and development environments, with a focus on both on-premises and cloud-based systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.
Your duties encompass managing network infrastructure, overseeing Linux-based on-premises servers, and supporting security measures across all systems.
