We are seeking a, immediate and efficient Personal Assistant/Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative and business support to the Business Director and Clerk to the Governors of a Chertsey-based high school and sixth form centre. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school, managing administrative matters, and facilitating effective communication across the school community. This is a 6 month fixed-term contract position, working from Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. Main Duties - a mixture of executive support and administrative duties: Proofreading documents and letters. Attending meetings, taking notes, and reporting back. Managing the Business Director's calendar and appointments. Leading the clerking admin function for Governors. Minute-taking during Board and Governor meetings. Ensuring Governor compliance and training. Providing personal admin support to the Business Director. Booking meeting rooms and managing administrative systems. Assisting with Health and Safety meetings and GDPR administration. Ensuring process notes are complete during the Operations Manager's absence. Key Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working in a school would be ideal but is not essential. Strong administration skills with experience of providing executive and business support Confident user of IT, including word processing, spreadsheets and management information systems Excellent organisational and time management skills Salary & Package: Salary of £33,000 - £35,000 (pro rata) 40 hour working week - 8am-5pm (flexible) 25 days holiday bank holidays (pro rata) Company pension scheme Free lunches during term-time On-site parking

Update in house databases with relevant information. Assist with marketing output. Assist with event preparation. Order and maintain stock and stationery supplies. Manage post in and out. Undertake varied and relevant duties as requested by management. Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Relevant qualifications and/or experience. GCSE/GCE English & Maths grade A-C, and qualified to A level or equivalent. IT literate, with a good working knowledge of Excel and Word Personal responsibilities: Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Trustworthy and reliable. We are working alongside our client to find an Administration Assistant located in Newton Abbot. Part time role, three days a week - Tuesdays are a must. July - October 2024. The Role Your main duties will include: Undertake assigned administrative work and activities through to completion, dealing with problems that arise and changes to requirements or timing. Act as the first point of contact for the department, appropriately dealing with callers in person, by telephone and email, ensuring high levels of customer relations. Office based administration including receiving and despatching post, photocopying, scanning, filing and indexing.
