Full details below: PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To work as part of the Business & Transformation Service Management Team contributing to the overall management and development of the service; and to deputise for the Service Manager - Business & Transformation as required.
In the this role, you will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the Finance and Business Support team.
Adecco Public Sector is currently supporting a client in Stoke on Trent who are looking to engage a Finance and Business Support Manager for a 9 month contract to cover maternity leave.
You will be working closely with the Director and Head of Operations, to support the leadership team across the organisation with the management of budgets and financial planning and modelling.
To provide a comprehensive and flexible administrative Business Support Service working across a range of Council functions/departments as required, this will include implementing and maintaining business support service standards and providing an excellent standard of customer service for internal and external customers.
To contribute as team member to the provision of a modern, professional, high quality and responsive business support and customer focused service to support the Corporate and Business Plans of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.
To provide appropriate administrative support for meetings as and when required, including arranging venues, issuing invitations and agendas, collating reports, minute taking and distributing minutes as required
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
To ensure correspondence including letters, email and telephone calls are dealt with appropriately including alerting the Manager to specific priorities and issues.
As the Programme Lead you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing a high-quality, efficient, and responsive Business Support service.
Your responsibilities will include developing and delivering service redesigns, driving process improvements, and enhancing the professionalism and skills of our team members.
Additionally, you'll stay abreast of innovative practices, both nationally and internally, to continuously improve the service offerings.
