Our client are a market-leading business from within the student accommodation sector who are looking for an experienced Building Technicianto join their facilities team in Bristol.
Working as part of a team, the successful applicant will be accountable for providing a well maintained, safe, secure, clean, compliant and efficient environment, delivering high quality planned and reactive maintenance.
Role Responsibilities
Undertaking general maintenance work within properties inc; window and door repairs, fire alarm activations & false alarms, reactive maintenance support, fault finding and rectifying, PPM planned inspections, support with PPM activities, rectifying or reporting any remedial work and any Health & Safety related calls).
Carry out daily plant room checks whilst helping to maintain the company's electrical services and support the maintenance of mechanical plant services.
To ensure that all mandatory, systems, plant, and lighting checks are carried out and maintained to ensure uninterrupted service and prepare the building for opening to the public and our Licensing obligations.
To ensure all life safety of all electrical installations are maintained and kept in good working order, i.e., PA system, fire alarm, secondary lighting; and to carry out first-line response/repairs to these systems.
Reporting into the Engineering Manager, within this role you will be be accountable for providing a full planned preventative maintenance, breakdown and repair function to all logistics warehousing facilities.
We are seeking a Maintenance Services Technician to join our Clients busy Estates team in Guildford.
You will be working on a shift pattern, undertaking both planned and reactive work on mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
The role involves operational maintenance across their estate, ensuring the infrastructure and environmental control systems are maintained in a safe, efficient, and functional order.
What You'll Need To SucceedIn order to be successful, you will have previous experience in mechanical works within the building services industry in a supervisory capacity and hold an SSSTS (or SMSTS) qualification.
As Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, organising and supervising all site activities, ensuring all site operations are in accordance with programme specifications, conducting site inspections, recording the progress of works as well as ensuring schemes are safely completed on time, within budget and to specified quality.
In addition, you will be able to liaise with key stakeholders and be a detail-orientated individual.
