Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Surveyor to join our team.
This role involves providing a comprehensive professional surveying and technical service to diagnose, specify, design, and facilitate a wide range of building repair works and adaptations.
You will ensure all work is completed in accordance with statutory and local legislation and meets all departmental key performance requirements.
Experienced / qualified building surveyor to carry out full property surveys specifically in relation to condensation & damp diagnosis.
The surveyor will have specific knowledge of building structures and how they contribute to the cause, be able to correctly diagnose & specify remedial requirements.
To understand and be able to use equipment to aid with diagnostics and undertaking seasonal monitoring.
Class 3 Surveyor required to work on high risk buildings
To assist the Head of Building Control in the management of the Building Control Departments administrative processing, plan checking and technical site works in respect to large projects within the borough.
Ensuring a high quality, cost effective, customer focussed service which meets the Council's statutory responsibilities and contributes to the Council's Community Plan.
The Building Control Team delivers Building Control and Building RegulaAon duAes and is responsible for RegulaAon and Compliance through advice and enforcement at scheme appraisal and determinaAon and site inspecAon during the construcAon phase.
Requires Membership of Royal InsAtuAon of Chartered Surveyors or Chartered AssociaAon of Building Engineers.
Key Regulatory areas covered are health, safety, sustainability, energy and accessibility.
As the Repairs Inspector, you will effectively plan and undertake, under the direction of the Responsive Repairs Manager, property maintenance inspections and tenant liaison services in the planning and maintenance of the Council's housing stock and other assets held.
Repairs Inspector required immediately to work on behalf of a local authority on a short term contract, whilst they recruit to the permanent position.
