The role is Assistant Manager in an Accounts team whose service is providing a combination of management accounts, bookkeeping, year-end accounts, personal and corporate tax. Your role as Assistant Manager will primarily be to preparing financial accounts along with the associated personal and corporate tax returns. You will be a key contact with the clients, to be a technical support for queries as well as meeting to provide guidance and advise, and generally maintain and develop the relationship. As a senior member of the team the Assistant Manager's role will also to aid the development of trainees, reviewing their work, providing feedback and guidance. The firm has a flexible working policy allowing working from home 40% of the week as well as start and finish times adaptable to you within reason. For an exceptional applicant, a 4 day week may be considered. It is essential you will have worked in an accountancy practice undertaking the same tasks, working to UK regulations. Ideally to apply you will hold an accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or instead have considerable experience without being qualified.
