On offer is the chance to take control of your working hours with full flexibility on when you do and don't work as well as having ownership over your earnings based on the number of surveys you choose to complete. This successful property surveying company operate across the UK offering a range of services including Level 2 Homebuyer Reports and Valuations, Level 3 Building Surveys and Snagging Surveys to the residential market. Having built up a great reputation and expanding across England this ambitious company are looking to take on another self employed Residential Surveyor due to an increase in workload around the South. In this role you will be remotely based and completing surveys in your local area. You have full flexibility over when you work and can pick and choose when you want to do surveys. The majority of surveys will typically complete 2 surveys a day however if you want to do more or less that is entirely your choice. You will have a dedicated admin team that arrange everything with the client and other external parties, you will be sent a pack regarding the survey required and location and will be responsible for attending, surveying and completing reports within 48 hours. Regarding salary, surveyors are paid 40% of the completed survey cost. For this role, you must have experience of experience of planning and managing day to day inspections and producing specifications of works. You have estimated the scope, cost and duration of works and monitoring relevant budgets as well has have worked with tenants, the public and other customers on a daily basis. Ability to prioritise and manage own workload HNC/HND Building Surveying Possesses a current driving licence with full access to a vehicle whilst in work. Desirable If you have worked in a Housing association that would be an advantage but its not essential Ability to maintain accurate manual records. Good knowledge of all aspects of the building industry. Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and an ability to put this into practice. Knowledge of using a schedules of rates. Thorough understanding of the legal requirements, duties and responsibilities relating to general building works and social housing. Capable of organising and controlling the progress of contractors. Ability to assist in analysing information, including financial would be a helpful but not a dealbreaker. If you have any relevant formal Health & Safety training such as NEBOSH, IOSH, CDM, SMSTS that would also be beneficial.
