An exciting temporary opportunity has arisen with one of our most improved Local Authority Clients for an Allocations Officer, working 80% of the week from home (1 day each week in the office).
The role is for 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) for an initial period of 3-6 months.

You will be required to deliver an efficient and professional allocations service, ensuring the council's Housing Register, allocation of accommodation within the council's own stock and nominations to partner registered provider vacancies are administered in accordance with the Council's Housing Allocation Scheme (policy), service procedures, national code of guidance and housing legislation (Part 6 of the Housing Act).

To provide comprehensive housing advice and information to households in housing need in order to ensure their housing needs are met via the appropriate intervention.
To deliver an efficient and professional allocations service, ensuring the council's Housing Register, allocation of accommodation within the council's own stock and nominations to partner registered provider vacancies are administered in accordance with the Council's Housing Allocation Scheme (policy), service procedures, national code of guidance and housing legislation (Part 6 of the Housing Act).
To provide comprehensive housing advice and information to households in housing need in order to ensure their housing needs are met via the appropriate intervention.
The Candidate
Ability to interview applicants skilfully and sensitively to elicit as much information as possible, give the appropriate advice and make informed decisions.
Produce half termly report (from data from HNS and synergy) of provisions with funding due to end, then work alongside SEND Case Officers (CO) to ensure that funding for any provisions that need to continue is on synergy and approved prior to provider continuing.
