Accountancy Action are seeking a Finance Administrator for a 12 month FTC to join an expanding business in Hertfordshire paying up to £23,000 per annum. Duties & Key Responsibilities: Retrieving and reconciling daily transactions from bank accounts. Uploading downloaded bank transactions into the in-house system. Analysing outstanding banking data and providing weekly reports to divisions. Reporting any discrepancies in the Centre's banking activities. Closing down banking operations at month-end and reporting any unidentified outstanding amounts. Preparing audit documents in accordance with the month-end process. Raising journal entries for any banking discrepancies on a monthly basis. Ordering bank stationery as needed. Assisting Centre staff and Operations with any queries. Posting cash book entries and reconciling bank accounts with the general ledger. Pro-actively identifying areas for improvement and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. Attending and contributing to management/department meetings as required. Personal Attributes and Other Requirements: Experience working in a finance team, preferably in sales ledger/banking. Logical and analytical approach with excellent attention to detail, strong numeracy skills, and proficiency in IT (MS Excel is essential). Strong organisational and time management skills. Exceptional customer service abilities, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
