Finance Administrator 12 month FTC

Are you a detail-oriented and efficient Finance Administrator looking for an exciting opportunity? Or are you a Graduate looking for your first role within Finance Admin?

Accountancy Action are seeking a Finance Administrator for a 12 month FTC to join an expanding business in Hertfordshire paying up to £23,000 per annum.

Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Retrieving and reconciling daily transactions from bank accounts.
  • Uploading downloaded bank transactions into the in-house system.
  • Analysing outstanding banking data and providing weekly reports to divisions.
  • Reporting any discrepancies in the Centre's banking activities.
  • Closing down banking operations at month-end and reporting any unidentified outstanding amounts.
  • Preparing audit documents in accordance with the month-end process.
  • Raising journal entries for any banking discrepancies on a monthly basis.
  • Ordering bank stationery as needed.
  • Assisting Centre staff and Operations with any queries.
  • Posting cash book entries and reconciling bank accounts with the general ledger.
  • Pro-actively identifying areas for improvement and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Attending and contributing to management/department meetings as required.

Personal Attributes and Other Requirements:

  • Experience working in a finance team, preferably in sales ledger/banking.
  • Logical and analytical approach with excellent attention to detail, strong numeracy skills, and proficiency in IT (MS Excel is essential).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
