Accounts Administrator Location: Chandlers Ford, Hampshire Salary: £28,000 P/A ( company bonus) Job Type, Full-Time (Hybrid), Mon Fri, (37.5 hours per week) The Company Join a dynamic and forward-thinking company where innovation and collaboration drive our success. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you! Main Responsibilities: Inbox Management: - Oversee the Purchase Ledger email inbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses to queries in line with internal SLA's. Invoice Review and Approval: - Verify the accuracy of purchase invoices before releasing them to the ledger. Supplier Payment Runs: - Prepare accurate weekly supplier payment runs for management approval. One-Off Payments: - Process ad hoc supplier payments as needed by the business. Payment Journals: - Post payment journals into the accounting system, ensuring complete and accurate accounting records. Supplier Reconciliation: - Reconcile supplier statements monthly and liaise with suppliers to resolve discrepancies. Bank Statement Reports: - Produce bank statement reports for the finance team as requested. Query Resolution: - Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve payment and invoice queries in line with internal SLA's. Team Collaboration: - Support operational teams and contribute to system improvements where needed. Relationship Building: - Build and maintain effective working relationships across the company. Ad Hoc Tasks: - Undertake additional tasks and activities as required by the company's commercial needs. Qualifications & Experience: Accounts Payable Knowledge: - 1-2 years of experience in a finance role with a strong understanding of accounts payable. Accounting Software: - Experience with accounting packages, ideally Microsoft Dynamics. Microsoft Office: - Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Communication Skills: - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Fast-Paced Environment: - Comfortable working in a high-pressure environment, balancing multiple workstreams efficiently. Attention to Detail: - Methodical approach with strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping. Organisational Skills: - Strong planning, organising, and prioritising skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Education: - Educated to A Level Standard or equivalent. Team Improvement: - Proven track record of raising standards within a team. Travel: - Willingness to travel within the UK as necessary.
